Thai Sen Lines Massage
1 day – with Sarah Urquhart-Taylor
Sometimes referred to as “Lazy man’s yoga”, Nuad Bo-Rarn Thai massage is
performed on a mat rather than a table, which allows for highly
effective use of the practitioner’s body weight, rather than muscular
force. Thai massage incorporates elements from many other modalities
including Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Myofascial Therapy, Neuromuscular
Therapy and structural integration.
Thai Massage is a fantastic therapy to use with sports people, or any
client who would benefit from improved flexibility. It will also give
you extra techniques to complement existing Remedial massage skills. It
focuses on safe use of body weight and body mechanics for the
practitioner and allows you to give a deep, effective treatment without
straining your own body!
Introduction to Thai Sen Lines
There are over 72,000 Thai Sen (energy) lines in the body, and this workshop aims to give you a general introduction to them.
The aim of this type of treatment is to free the flow of energy in the body and bring everything into balance. A very gentle, relaxing and non-invasive way of working, covering the legs, feet, arms, hands, abdomen, head and face, using gentle acupressure - a joy to give and receive!
I have found that clients with conditions that affect the nervous system seem to respond especially well to this treatment, and it is wonderful for elderly or infirm clients who cannot tolerate deeper treatment. Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised!
No previous experience of massage required – open
to all.
