Diploma in Advanced Remedial Massage (DARM)

 

The Advanced Remedial Massage Diploma course leads the student through more detailed anatomy and physiology with emphasis on examination procedures and specific techniques for each particular joint.

 

To gain a Diploma in Remedial and Sports Massage the student must:

  1. attend 400+ hours of training over 26 weekends.
  2. complete home assignments and practice the practical skills learned at each weekend
  3. attain the required standard, passing the final written and practical examinations
  4. compile the required case studies to the standard required and submit
  5. have the attitude and professionalism required for a professional Remedial and Sports Massage   
    Therapist.

 

This Course is divided into three parts: Part I, Part II and Part III

Part I: consists of eight (8) weekends (120 hours) of anatomy, physiology, practice management and Swedish Massage.

Part II: consists of eight (8) weekends (120 hours) of training in Remedial and Sports Massage.

 

Part III: consists of ten (10) weekends (150 hours) of training in Advanced Remedial Massage.

 

Entry requirements:

 

Part I: a good basic education and an interest and enthusiasm for the caring professions. Time and motivation are necessary for the home study required, as well as a reasonable level of fitness!

Part II:Diploma in Swedish Massage, or equivalent qualification, e.g. Diploma in Shiatsu, Beauty Therapy, or Clinical Aromatherapy.

Part III:Diploma in Remedial Massage or Diploma in Sports Massage or equivalent

 

Time and motivation are necessary for the home study required, as well as a reasonable level of fitness.
